I. Call to Order
The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM.
II. Approval of Minutes of Meeting of May 27, 205
Under OTHERS, Desiree Mobed’s name was removed as she was not present.
MOTION: Barry Knowles moved to approve the minutes of May 27, 2015 as corrected; Sandra Hall seconded; motion carried unanimously.
III. Crowell Barn Update
The electrical work still needs to be completed. The center section was cleaned and the right side still needs to be cleaned. This is being done with volunteer help. It was suggested that the barn be lit for Christmas.
IV. FY 2015 Maintenance
The time for outside painting of the museum has not been set yet. The brick stairs need to be totally repaired. The Community Preservation Committee will not release funds for painting the cupola until the historic preservation study is completed.
V. Brooks Canon Update
Desiree will submit a grant application to CPC for construction of a carriage for the canon.

VI. Harwich High School Sign
It has been suggested that the sign be installed lying flat in the area below the brick stairs. The Chair will ask Tom Blute if he could carve representations of the previous high schools in the base of the sign.
VII. RFP for Structual Assessment and Preservation Plan
The RFP has been sent to the Community Preservation Committee for their signoff. The firm of McGinley, Kalsow and Associates is preparing the study and it should be ready for the next Commission meeting.
VIII. Complaint Regarding Light in Front of Portico
The complaint was received from a neighbor on Parallel Street and will be investigated.
IX. Crowell Barn Lease
MOTION: Mr. Knowles moved to approve an addendum to the museum lease that states all expenses will be in the budget of the Brooks Academy Museum Commission; Ms. Hall seconded; motion carried unanimously.
MOTION: Ms. Hall moved to extend the existing lease to include the Crowell Barn until a satisfactory lease agreement can be made with the Town of Harwich; Ms. Smith seconded; motion carried unanimously.
X. Other
Meetings of the Commission in July and August will begin at 3:00 PM.
XI. Adjourn
There being no further business, the Chair adjourned the meeting at 4:25 PM.
