MEETING MINUTES: April 11, 207

Present: Joan Sacchetti, T9na Games, Larraine Bossi, Shay Mitchell, Debbie Ferry, RoseAnn Clarke
Meeting was called to order at 4:35 PM.
Public Comments and Announcements: 1. Shay introduced the Chamber of Commerce’s “Bursting with Flavor” fundraiser, leaving from the Community Center at 5PM, May 5th, visiting 5 restaurants. Price is $65. 2. Larraine announced the Chase Library’s Author’s Luncheon with Ann Hood, May 17th, 11:30AM at Mooncussers’ Tavern.
Minutes from January 12 were accepted with motion by Debbie and second by Rose Ann.
Minutes from March 9 were accepted with one name correction.
February meeting was cancelled due to inclement weather.
The Financial Report was accepted with current unencumbered funds equaling $4,291.58. The new town accountant is Carol.
Old Business: 1. The Conflict of Interest update has been completed by all members except Roseann Donohue who will complete on her Springtime return. 2. Town Meeting Warrant endorsed a $3000. Budget item for the Cultural Council. The recommendation will be voted on at the Town meeting in May.
New Business: 1. The Grant Reception is scheduled for May 31, from 5-7PM at the Harwich Community Center. Debbie will send out invitations to the grant recipients. Rose Ann will contact Diana the music teacher about possible entertainment. 2. Cultural Council Findraising trip: Larraine signed the group agreement letter with AAA for a Fall trip to San Antonio, TX. Tina wrote and sent out blurbs to media outlets. The group suggested planning for the next trip in Spring of 2018 ASAP. The group is focusing on the tour that begins in PRAGUE. Larraine and Joan will meet with Athena, AAA travel agent to obtain possible dates and prices. 3.The Cultural Council will have a table available to us at each Harwich Port Stroll where we can have information about the HCC trips.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:40PM.
