HARWICH CULTURAL COUNCIL

Meeting Minutes- January 21, 2016

The January 21, 2016 was called to order at 4:35 PM

Members Present- Tina Games, Florence Lofberg, Sharon Mitchell, Joan Sacchetti, Lynn Schweinshaut, and Lynne Lavieri

The minutes of the November 18, 2015 meeting were reviewed and accepted on motion by Florence Lofberg and seconded by Sharon Mitchell.

The financial report was accepted on motion by Lynne Lavieri and seconded by Florence Lofberg.

The committee discussed and voted on requests for extensions for two FY 2015 grants.  Desiree Mobed requested an extension for the big band concert sponsored by the Brooks Academy.  Because of a change in administration she requests postponing the exhibit until 2017. Lynne Lavieri motioned to accept her request and Joan Sacchetti seconded. The committee voted for the extension.

The council on aging requested rescheduling a program by John Porcino called “A Heck of a way to Stay Warm” from 2015 to November or December 2016. Sharon Mitchell motioned to accept the request and Lynne Lavieri seconded.  The committee voted for the extension.

Bernadette Waystack has asked for an extension for her field trip to the Provincetown art association.  Florence Lofberg motioned to accept the request and Tina Games seconded.

The committee discussed fundraising options for next year. We have tentatively chosen a trip to the National Parks and Canyon Canyon Country in the fall of 2016 sponsored by Durgin travel.  At the next meeting we will have specific details for the trip.

Tina Games has agreed to be the co-chairperson of the HCC.  Lynne Lavieri motioned and Florence Lofberg seconded the motion for Tina to be the co-chairperson.  The vote was unanimous in favor of Tina being the co-chairperson.
