Harwich Cultural Council Meeting
HARWICH CULTURAL COUNCIL
Meeting Minutes- February 11, 2016
The February 11,2016 meeting was called to order at 4:35 PM.
Members Present- Lynn Schweinshaut, Lynne Lavieri, Tina Games Joan Sacchetti, Sharon Mitchell, Florence Lofberg, and Debbie Ferry.
The minutes of the January 21, 2016 meeting were reviewed and accepted on motion by Joan Sacchetti and seconded by Debbie
Ferry.
The financial report was accepted on motion by Sharon Mitchell and seconded by Florence Lofberg.
The fundraising trip to the National Parks will tentatively take place September 15 through September 22. The final price will be sent to us in the next few days and we will begin advertising. Tina Games has agreed to be in charge of publicity for this trip and all other publicity for the council.
At the March 10th meeting the committee plans to review the fundraising ideas that Tina Games has compiled.
We plan to have a grant reception at Brooks Academy either at the end of May or beginning of June. We will be contacted by Brooks
Academy with a list of dates available. In the meantime Tina Games will be sending a list of the cultural council awarded grants to the Cape Cod Chronicle.
The community need surveys were tallied by Lynn Schweinshaut, Rose Ann Clarke, and Lynne Lavieri. The results will help us evaluate future grants with the community needs results in mind.
The cultural council committee voted to grant another extension to Bernadette Waystack for her Provincetown Arts field trip. Debbie Ferry motioned and Sharon Mitchell seconded.
