BROOKS FREE LIBRARY- SERVICE UPDATE

Oct. 15, 2015 – 3 pm Update

The Library is currently closed while waiting for the emergency lights to be repaired, but in the meantime patrons can stop by and pick up their holds and check-out items from a small browsing collection in the lobby during daylight hours. Until full service is restored, this service will operate from 10 am to 5 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays (staff must leave before the natural light fades) and on Friday and Saturday we'll offer this pick up service during our normal hours of 10 am to 4 pm. Community members can place requests online and renew their items using the CLAMS catalog (www.clamsnet.org) or give us a call at 508-430-7562 ext. 1 or email brooksfreelibrary@clamsnet.org  and staff members will be happy to assist them. Patrons are always able to access our electronic services (eBooks, downloadable audiobooks and music and other resources) from our website, www.brooksfreelibrary.org.  All programs are cancelled through Saturday, Oct. 17th. Since it now appears the closing will extend into next week we will be offering our afterschool program at the Harwich Junior Theatre Arts Center in Harwich Center for Grades 5, 6 and 7 next week beginning on Monday, and continuing until full re-opening of the Library, from 3 pm to 6 pm. We are finalizing plans to relocate other programs and will be publicizing that information tomorrow. Please check our website, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter for the latest updates or give us a call at 508-430-7562 ext. 1 with any questions or concerns.
