HARWICH BOARD OF SELECTMEN

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

LIQUOR LICENSE REGULATIONS

January 9, 2017

 

The Harwich Board of Selectmen will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, January 9, 2017 no earlier than 6:30 p.m. in the Donn B. Griffin Room located at Harwich Town Hall, 732 Main St., Harwich, for the purpose of removing the following language from Section 1.09(e) of the Town of Harwich Liquor License Regulations:

 

No entertainment at the licensed premises may be conducted in a manner such that the noise from the entertainment is creating a nuisance and can be heard outside the boundaries of the premises.

 

And replacing it with the following language:

 

Inside Entertainment - No entertainment at the licensed premises may be conducted in a manner such that the noise from the entertainment is creating a nuisance and can be heard outside the boundaries of the premises.

 

Outside Entertainment – Noise from entertainment must be at reasonable sound levels which are not plainly audible at a distance of 150 feet from boundary line or source of sound amplification system whichever is further.
