Consent Agenda:  Nothing this month

Open Forum:

1. The Saq Dev Committee welcomed our newest member Karen Larson
2. Lynda Shannon mentioned the need for additional Staff for the harbors
3. Karen Larson commented on the trash problem surrounding the harbors and rivers
4. Kent Drusella suggested a Harbor Appreciation Festival in October

Financial Report YTD & Monthly:   Nothing this month

New Business:   

Charles Helliwell asked about who would be making the choices and decisions about the final site plan details and who would be managing the actual supervision of the construction?

Harbormaster John Rendon replied (in general) that in addition to the day to day contact he would have with the successful bidder he would also be updating the Saq Dev Committee and the general public; including occasional discussions with the Designer/Engineer at monthly Saq Dev Com meetings.

John indicated that he would be working with Bob Cafarelli (Town Engineer) to create the Bid Request and the resulting evaluations of the Bid Response.

With respect to the project, John would be coordinating with Bob (who would be the construction supervisor), as he coordinates the project with the construction contractor(s) and the various other Town Departments as the project goes through the approval, permit and build process.

1. Update on the progress of  the Energy and Environment Affairs, “Coastal Resilience Grant Program” by Amy Usowski
2. Brief update on the Saquatucket Marina project by John Rendon
