Letterpress Printing Workshop
Lead is not dead! In fact, letterpress printing, that is, printing from lead type set by hand, is very much alive in Harwich. Neighbors interested in learning about graphic design as Gutenberg intended are invited to take this workshop with printer Jesse Marsolais, which will cover a historical overview of western typography and a hands-on introduction to the various aspects of the letterpress process. Bring an inspirational quote or a brief poem and expect to have a short stack of impressions, printed by YOU, by day’s end.
