Tastings of fine wine paired with gourmet food to support the tuition assistance program at The Children’s Center

Join The Children's Center (TCC) for a benefit event that will help fund the tuition assistance program.  There will be a sampling of red, white, and sparkling wines from Main Street Wine and Gourmet in Orleans which will be available for order. Carefully selected food pairings to match these fine wines will be prepared by Mooncussers Inn and Tavern in Harwich Port and Cottage Street Bakery in Orleans. There will be a limited silent and live auctions as well.

Thanks to generous sponsors, all proceeds from the event go directly to TCC.

The mission of The Children’s Center (TCC), part of Harwich Ecumenical Council for the Homeless (HECH), is to provide an affordable preschool and childcare to working families. The Center’s goals and objectives include: meeting the needs of the individual child; offering educational opportunities and emotional support for families; creating a strong family unit; and creating a very strong foundation for future learning.

Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) was created with the objective of making our early childhood educational program affordable to as many low and moderate-income families with young children as possible. It is intended to bridge the gap between what a family can reasonably be expected to contribute and the actual cost of the education.

In 2019, about half of our families receive assistance through the TAP, discounting their tuition nearly 50% or an average of almost $10,00 per family annually.

Tickets are $30.00 per person. Visit HECH’s website to purchase tickets or call 508-432-0015 x102.
