Emergency Preparedness Programs at Brooks Free Library

Brooks Free Library is holding two emergency preparedness events next week.

Emergency Preparedness and Response:

On Monday, Sept. 23 at 6 pm community members are invited to hear from Emergency Management Director Lee Culver talk about how you can prepare for weather emergencies and unexpected events. Barnstable County Emergency Management Coordinator Sean O’Brien will also be here to talk about what happens when the County’s Multi-Agency Coordination Center is activated and how they support municipal response. Both gentlemen have a wealth of expertise so it should be a very information event. This program is free and registration is not required.

Community Conversation

On Thurs. Sept. 26 at 2 pm Brooks Free Library is holding a Community Conversation as part of Climate Preparedness Week. Staff members will lead discussions related to preparing for extreme weather events that will allow community members to exchange ideas and share their thoughts. Attendance at this program is limited and advance registration is required. Interested community members may register by calling the Library at 508-430-7562 option 1 or may register online in the program description on the calendar page of our website, www.brooksfreelibrary.org.

For more information on either program please contact the Library at 508-430-7562.
