Pop-Up Covid Testing Site

Covid Testing info

Hello, this is Health Director Meggan Eldredge with a COVID-19 testing message.  Yesterday, Governor Baker announced that 50 “pop-up” testing centers will be open to allow those who have attended large gatherings over the last two weeks to get tested for COVID-19.  Outer Cape Health Services in Harwichport has been selected to provide this testing to the public.

The clinics are scheduled for this Wednesday, June 17th and Thursday, June 18th.  The clinics will run from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm both days.  Individuals who wish to be tested are asked to first call the free Covid-19 testing line at 508-905-2801 to register ahead of time. The testing is free to all participants.

Covid-19 can spread easily and quickly in large groups of people who are in close contact. While some individuals may not have symptoms, they may unknowingly have the coronavirus and spread the virus to others.

This testing is expected to draw participants from across the Cape and heavy traffic is anticipated in the area of Outer Cape Health Services at 710 Route 28.  The testing site will utilize the northern parking lot of Saquatucket Harbor to remove as many cars from the main road as possible.  Participants must remain in their cars and enter the north parking lot of the Harbor and proceed through the check points before crossing the street to enter Outer Cape Health Services.  Police Officers and other personnel will be available to assist with traffic control.

This is a drive through clinic operated by Outer Cape Health Services and registration is done over the phone by calling 508-905-2801. For more information please visit www.mass.gov/GetTested

Thank you and have a great day.
