The Town of Harwich mourns the passing of Selectman Vice Chairman Stephen P. Ford

It is with profound sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of Selectman and Board Vice Chairman Stephen P. Ford. On behalf of my fellow Board members: Donald Howell, Michael MacAskill and Edward McManus and Town Administrator Joseph Powers, I extend our condolences to Stephen’s family: his wife Patsy, his daughters Carolyn, Erin and Molly; his siblings Peter, Patty, Robert and Michael and to all those who mourn with us on this sad occasion.

Stephen’s love for his hometown of Harwich was exceeded only by his love of family. His presence at Board meetings and his efforts on behalf of so many organizations and causes within Harwich, Cape Cod and the Commonwealth will be dearly missed.

The Board of Selectmen will meet briefly at their regular meeting on Monday, April 12, 2021 to handle an administrative matter and will defer the remainder of the business to a later date to observe this period of grief and honor his service to the Town of Harwich.

Larry G. Ballantine, Chairman
Board of Selectmen
