MEETING MINUTES

Monday, December 22, 2014 @ 6:30 pm

Town Hall Library

In attendance:  Anita Doucette, Donald Howell, Katie O’Sullivan, Deborah Sementa. Absent: Bob Hartwell

Others present:  Dorothy Harder, Elizabeth Harder, Matt Hart, Skip Patterson

Board of Selectman(BOS) Liaison:  Angelo LaMantia (nonvoting)

The Chairman again opened the meeting @ 6:33 pm.

Motion was made to table the December 11, 2014 minutes until the next meeting was made and seconded. The December 11, 2014 minutes will be voted on at the next meeting.

Old Business

At the last meeting, Don requested that the Board of Selectmen prioritize the list of items brought before this Committee. Angelo stated it was determined that the proposed change over the water commission and sewer commission authority is the Committee’s top priority. The complexity of the current 18-part proposal is being currently rewritten (shortened) and the enterprise fund is being looked at as well.

As Chair of the Waterways Committee, Matt Hart stated his Committee as well as the Harbor Master supports the proposal.  Skip stated it does not appear this proposal will be ready to bring to this year’s Town Meeting. The Finance Committee needs to be on board as well. Angelo stated the BOS will have a meeting before preparing the actual article.

The Library Trustees’ Charter change is supported by the Board of Selectmen. The Library staff is presently rewriting article with Counsel.

New Business

Katie stated the School Committee structure needs to be changed. There was discussion regarding the structure of the current School Committee.

Next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2015 @ 6:30pm in the Town Hall Library.
