One-time or Short Term Event Space Rental

Application required. First-come, first-serve reservations are subject to scheduling availability and approval by the Harwich Community Center Director. Space will not be reserved until a complete application and all fees are received.

  • $100.00 per 3-hour single-use

  • Events may require a certificate of insurance naming the Town of Harwich as an “Additional Insured” for $1,000,000.00
  • 88 parking spaces, including five disability parking spaces; further disability parking spaces may be designated for special events
  • All food and beverage items must adhere to food traceability standards per the Harwich Health Department

Event Space Rental Policy

  • Final Payment is due seven days prior to the event. All rates are subject to change at the discretion of the Town of Harwich and agreed upon by the applicant. This agreement is a license only and can be terminated at will by the Town of Harwich or its representatives.
  • A rental application must be presented with payment by check or credit card. All renters take full responsibility for the entire facility.
  • The building must be cleaned and vacated by the designated time. Renters MUST leave the facility as they find it both clean and in order both inside and outside. Renter is responsible for the set-up and breakdown of the room rented.
  • All renters must have two contact persons.
  • A Town of Harwich staff person must be present at the event.
  • The Town of Harwich will not be responsible for any sudden or unforeseen malfunctions of equipment. The Town of Harwich is not liable for damages to the applicants and/or their guests including consequential and incidental damages that might result from a malfunction of equipment. The renter will not hold the Town of Harwich responsible for any and all lawsuits for damages caused by the use of the premises of the applicant.
  • Applicant must have read and will follow the Harwich Cultural Center Use Policy.
  • Upon acceptance of this application, the applicant will be granted permission for use of the facility for the sole purpose and times set forth and agreed to unless otherwise stipulated.
  • No smoking is permitted on the premises. Alcohol only by permit issued by the Town of Harwich Board of Selectmen.

Cancellation Policy

  •  All charges must be confirmed seven days prior to the event. A $50 administrative fee will be charged if the event is canceled in less than seven days.
