Town Meeting Information

Hello, this is Joe Powers, Interim Town Administrator for the Town of Harwich with an important message regarding our upcoming Annual Town Meeting.

As you know, our Town Meeting will take place next Saturday, September 26^th at 10am at the Monomoy Regional High School Football Stadium at 75 Oak Street.

Please be aware of the following information regarding this event:

• If you are arriving by car, please enter the site from the south entrance close to the little league field.
• Drive towards the football stadium and park in the parking lots of the school
• Overflow parking is available at the Community Center. 
• Bicycle parking is available at various locations throughout the property.

• All voters should enter the stadium at the gate to the left of the Snack Shack.
• All votes should be sure to check in to receive your voter card, a copy of the warrant and a printout of the motions.
• Voter check-in will begin promptly at 9am to allow ample time to reach quorum to begin the meeting on time.
• We are unable to project the motions due to the location so please be sure to pick up a set of the motions when you check in.  These documents will also be available on the town’s website ahead of Town Meeting.
• Any non-voters who wish to watch Town Meeting will be directed by staff to the bleachers across from the 50-yard line.
• Face-coverings such as masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times with exceptions for those with medical exemptions.
• There will be restrooms available in the Snack Shack but will not be providing refreshments.
• Please be sure to bring your reusable water bottle to stay hydrated in the Fall sunshine.
• Please dress comfortably and seasonably such as having a sweater or jacket handy.
• Please wear flat-heeled shoes and bring a hat for sun shade.  We advise against umbrellas as they will impact on seeing or being seen by the Moderator.
