Members Absent:  Fred Clancy

Minutes:  Motion made by Joe Johnson to approve the Minutes of 2-18-2015.  Seconded by Mort Terry.  Voting:  4 in Favor; 1 abstention.

Consent Agenda:  Nothing this month

Financial Report YTD & Monthly:  Copy included with Minutes

New Business:  Appeal by Robert and Barbara McNulty to have Town Dock deposit refunded.

On March 18, 2015 at the regularly scheduled Waterways Meeting, the appeal to refund a dock deposit to Robert and Barbara McNulty was discussed and reviewed.

The motion was made by Cam Smith and Seconded by Tom Themistos

“I make a motion that the Waterways Committee has reviewed the appeal of Mr. and Mrs. McNulty on March 18, 2015 and denies the appeal based on regulations stated in §3.2 of the Harwich Harbor Management Plan and may be appealed to the Harwich  Board of Selectmen.”

Voting:  6 to 1 (Chairman abstained)

Old Business:

1. Harbormaster review of current projects:

• Slow progress at Wychmere due to weather
• Phase II at Allen Harbor discussed

1. Update of Harbor related Town Meeting Warrants:

• Wednesday, March 25, 2015, Harbormaster goes before Town Meeting regarding Warrants:

1. Saquatucket design engineering
2. Wychmere Harbor bathroom

1. Update of progress by Saq. Dev. Com. regarding Saquatucket Marina Complex

• Issue discussed – will not be on Town Warrant at present time (Downey Trust Property)

Monthly Reports:

Board of Selectmen: Nothing this month

Harbormaster:          

Harbormaster will meet with Harwich Board of Selectmen on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 5:30 PM at Town Hall regarding Public Safety Issues and the need for funding additional support to Harbormaster, Assistant Harbormaster, and Natural Resource positions.  Harbormaster, John Rendon requested that as many Waterways Committee Members as possible attend the meeting.

            Natural Resources Officer: Nothing this month

Correspondence:

1. Tim Millar letter regarding mooring fee.
2. Request from Don Monroe, Coastal Engineering regarding Vincent Helfrich, 23 Snow Inn Rd. be put on the WWC Agenda for April 15, 2015.
