Youth & Family Services

Welcome from the Director

Welcome to the webpage for the Harwich Youth and Family Services department!  Here you will find information about the services and supports offered as well as links to some useful resources.  If I can be of assistance in answering a question, providing some information, or connecting you to area resources please feel welcome to reach out to connect with me!  Free, short-term counseling is available to Harwich residents ages 11-21.  My contact information is located below.

I am a licensed mental health counselor through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a nationally certified counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors.  A Cape Codder born and raised, I adventured off-Cape for college at the University of Maine at Farmington where I earned a Bachelor of Science in rehabilitation services, a few work opportunities, and for graduate school at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where I earned a Master of Science in counseling specializing in mental health.  I returned to the Cape following graduate school and have worked for several area agencies and organizations as well as operating a private counseling practice.  It's exciting to be here in Harwich where I provide supports for mental health needs of our youth and families and am able to team-up with other town departments and the Monomoy Regional School District.

Supports offered include:

  • Therapeutic counseling and support for Harwich Youth, ages 11-21 years, FREE OF CHARGE (6-12 weeks).
  • Parent coaching and support.
  • A referral source for counselors, psychiatrists, substance abuse counselors and treatment centers, and medical resources in the community.
  • Crisis intervention, assessment, and referral.
  • Prevention programs for youth-at-risk.
  • Networking with community resources that support youth and their families.
  • Groups, workshops, and events to meet mental health needs of our youth and families.

My office is located in Albro House at 728 Main Street in Harwich.  I am able to see clients in-person here and telehealth appointments are also available upon request.  I am available full-time, year-round including during the summer and school vacations.  If you are not a Harwich resident, I am happy to be able to provide referrals.

Thanks for stopping by the Harwich Youth and Family Services webpage!
