Minutes  Wednesday, April 15, 2015

 4:00 p.m., Room # 1, Harwich Community Center

Call to Order: 4PM

Attendance: Dennis Mozzer, Bruce Paige,Len Sarver, Mike Glynn, Fran Salewski

New Business: Fran reported that the COA will be conducting weekly bike rides along the OCRT starting Friday May, 1 at 1 PM. Mike reported he was contacted by Kevin Grunwald,Social Service Coordinator for the COA and distributed a flyer for the rides.

The committee received an invitation to speak for Bike Safety at a Dinner for the J1's on June11

Old Business:Bike Rodeo: Update on proposed Rodeo Task assignments.

Community Center… Dennis reported he is in  contact with the HCC staff and they will be cooperating on the day of the Rodeo

Police…Mike reported the HPD is prepared to fully cooperate with our committee at the time of the Rodeo

 Highway Department…  Mike reported the HDPW is willing to provide their full assistance.

 Fire Department…. Mike reported he still needs to contact someone from the Friends of the HFD for use of the grill. Otherwise other committee members have offered the use of their grill

 Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank… Len reported that Cape Cod Five will be donating $250. However the check had not arrived by the time of the meeting. Len also reported he met with Ed McManus chairman of the Harwich Cranberry Festival and they would be willing to pay for the T-shirts

 Harwich Elementary School…Len  had met with the Assistant Principal of Harwich Elementary School and she assured him of the school's cooperation

Publicity… Bruce reported his plans are in place to contact the various media outlets.

T-Shirts … Fran ordered the T shirts from AustinS Inc. They should be ready in two weeks

Volunteers….Fran reported he advertised with Cape Cod Volunteers Organization and hope to get some volunteers as well as the volunteers that have assisted in the past.
