HARWICH COUNCIL ON AGING BOARD MEETING

 

FEBRUARY 3, 2016

 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

 

 

The meeting was called to order by Chair Adrienne Johnson at 9:30.

 

Attendance: Adrienne Johnson, Joe Johnson, Ralph Smith, Lee Culver, Mike Smith,

Richard Waystack, Jim Mangan & Barbara-Anne Foley

 

Minutes: Lee Culver moved to accept minutes as written, Joe John seconded.

 

Treasurer’s Report: reviewed and discussed

 

Adrienne Johnson welcomed Jim Mangan to the COA Board.

 

Director’s Report: Barbara-Anne Foley reported we need $9166.00 placed into the COA budget to pay for Harwich seniors attending the Adult Day Care Center. Currently there are 7 Harwich clients there 4-5 days a week.

 

Barbara-Anne discussed the submitted FY17 budget. She is trying to solve the problem of no coverage for the COA chef when out on sick or vacation days. Possibly a per diem cook to fill in.

 

The Board discussed the budget meeting on February 27 at 2:30 with Town Administrator and Finance Committee. They suggested that Barbara-Anne prepare a chart of facts and costs for the Adult Day Center.

 

Barbara-Anne Foley stated the COA is still in need of more volunteers to assist the staff.
