HARWICH CULTURAL COUNCIL
Meeting Minutes- May 14, 2015
The May 14, 2015 meeting was called to order at 4:40 PM.
Members Present- Debbie Ferry, Rose Ann Clarke, Lynn Schweinshaut, Lynne Lavieri, and Florence Lofberg. Lorraine Bossi, an upcoming member also attended.
Secretary’s Report- Minutes of the April 16, 2015 meeting were reviewed and accepted on motion by Rose Ann Clarke and seconded by Debbie Ferry.
Treasurer’s Report- The financial report was accepted on motion by Lynne Lavieri and seconded by Debbie Ferry.
Milton Welt Mural Update- The Milton Welt committee has approved hanging the mural in the community center. The board of selectmen will vote to approve the gift. There are plans to have an unveiling ceremony at the end of June.
Fundraising trip update- The tour to the Italian and French Riviera was received positively. There were many positive comments about the excellent organization of the tour, the wonderful tour guide and congeniality of the group. The negative comments received were regarding the food which was regarded as sub standard. On June 4th, Lynn Schweinshaut will be attending a trade show run by Durgin Travel and will be getting information regarding options for future trips sponsored by HCC.
2015 Grant Reception Update- The 2015 grant reception is scheduled to be held at Brooks Academy on June 3rd from 5 to 7 PM. Invitations are ready to be sent out and Debbie Ferry and Lynne Lavieri will be in charge of planning the refreshments.
Dissemination of Community Impact Surveys- The committee discussed the timeline and various was of disseminating the surveys once they are updated. At the next meeting we will finalize our plans.
