Harwich Cultural Council Meeting
HARWICH CULTURAL COUNCIL
Meeting Minutes- June 16, 2016
The meeting was called to order at 4:35 by Tina Games, chairperson.
Members present- Debbie Ferry, Lynne Lavieri, Tina Games, Lynn Schweinshaut, Florence Lofberg, Joan Sacchetti, and Lorraine Bossi.
Secretary’s Report- The minutes of the May 12, 2016 meeting were reviewed and approved. Lynn Schweinshaut motioned to accept and Debbie Ferry seconded.
Financial report- The May 12, 2016 financial report was reviewed and approved. Lynne Lavieri motioned to accept and Florence Lofberg seconded.
Fundraising National Parks trip update- The trip will have 22 participants. The council will make more than $4000. The committee voted to continue sponsoring trips as they have shown to be profitable.
New council members- A few people have expressed an interest in joining the council to Lynn Schweinshaut and she will be contacting them. Tina Games is also making some enquiries.
On line 2017 grant applications- There will be an online option for the 2017 grant applications. The MCC will come to do training at a meeting in the fall.
Update cosponsoring high school service project- Bernadette Waystack has talked to high school groups and we are ready to initiate the project in the fall. Tina Games has agreed to be the liaison with the high school. Plans will be finalized with the projects being part of a garden theme.
