FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
MINUTES
Harwich Community Center Room#3
Monday, February 12, 2018
6:30 P.M.
Present: Chairman Jack Brown, Mark Ameres, Dana DeCosta, Laurie Gillespie Lee, and Jon Chorey
Absent: Ed McManus
Also Present: Finance Director Carol Coppola
Call to Order: Chairman Jack Brown called the meeting to order at approximately 7:14 PM , noting that there was a quorum of FinCom Members.
Topics for Discussion and Possible Votes
1) Approval of Minutes from 1/11/18 and 1/18/18 - Gillespie made the motion and DeCosta made the second. All approved
2) Reserve Fund Transfers – none
3) Discuss Feb. 12th Budget Joint Meeting
a) The committee emphasized the importance of complete bids prior to town meeting.
b) Dana DeCosta recommended improvements to the budget document formats.
c) The committee discussed the upcoming Saturday budget session and additional meetings with those who could not attend that session.
4) Review Liaisons Assignments – deferred to next meting
5) Mr. Chorey Discussed a study on previously approved warrant articles
6) Meeting adjourned at approximately 8 PM.
