3.   Approve Minutes:   Minutes of the June 1, 2015 meeting

 

4.   Old Business:

     A.  Middle School Re-Purpose Committee:  Letter from David Purdy to BOS

     B.  Habitat for Humanity:  Did everyone get the forwarded email from David?

     C.  Willow Street:  Review letter template from Mayla to BOS

     D.  American Dream: Review letter template from Mayla to BOS  to get resolution on contested boundaries?

     E.  Community Relations: Planning for public forum with other housing entities. – Mayla to have sent email to that group, any response/interest?

     F.  East Harwich Updates:

     G. West Harwich School site: Update on status of non-profit use of site or is it still on “tear down”

         agenda of Town Administrator (along with Old Fire-Station on Bank Street)? Should we check in with Lou Urbano?

 

5.   New Business:

     A. Goal Setting:

          1)  Work on brochure: Claudia emailed out to group- feedback to move forward?

          2)  Pursue private property for housing: Consult with Real Estate/Open Space on joint pursuit of

          “owners unknown” with use of CPC designated funds?

          3)  Partnership with other housing entities: The value of a coordinated approach among Housing

          Committee, Housing Authority, HECH, etc. on specific housing legislation (eg) Middle School....Part of Community Relations from Old Business?  Mayla email.

          4)  Use of new Town Web-site for promoting housing issues – contact Caleb

      B. Reports from other Housing Entities:

          1)  Harwich Housing Authority:  John Stewart

          2)  HOME Consortium:  Cindi Maule

          3)  Community Development Parnership: Claudia Williams

          4)  Dates for Affordable housing related meetings, workshops, forums, etc.

       C. Housing Committee:

          1)  Encourage people to apply for membership to Selectmen- Cindi to contact possible member…

          2)  New Chairperson and new Recording Secretary- Need to vote on Chairperson and confirm Claudia.

          3)  Importance of Quorum – Check in with committee on membership.

          4)  Future meeting dates: 8/3, 9/14- need to check on Rashashana, 10/5, 11/5 and 12/7 confirmed.
