3.   Approve Minutes:   Minutes of the August 3, 2015 meeting

 

4.   Old Business:

     A.  Middle School Re-Purpose Committee:  any report on 3 proposals given to Selectman from re-purposing committee.

     B.  Habitat for Humanity:  Sign-up to volunteer

     C.  Willow Street:  Letter to be sent but hold right now…

     D.  American Dream: Letter to be sent to get resolution on contested boundaries- tabled for now.

     E.  Community Relations: Planning for public forum with other housing entities. Review Mayla’s email and distribution list for Fall distribution

     F.  East Harwich Updates: Meaning of voters turning down Article 9 (funding for eminent domain taking of    

         land for waste water recharge area.

     G. West Harwich School site: Update on status of non-profit use of site or is it still on “tear down”

         agenda of Town Administrator (along with Old Fire-Station on Bank Street)?

 

5.   New Business:

     A. Goal Setting:

1)Work on brochure: check in with Claudia Williams

2)Pursue private property for housing: Consult with Real Estate/Open Space on joint pursuit of “owners unknown” with use of CPC designated funds

3)Kelly Project – update from Mayla and any progress on available funds through CPC and input from Habitat?

4)Partnership with other housing entities: The value of a coordinated approach among Housing Committee, Housing Authority, HECH, etc. on specific housing legislation (eg) Middle School....

5)Use of new Town Web-site for promoting housing issues

      B. Reports from other Housing Entities:

          1)  Harwich Housing Authority:  John Stewart

          2)  HOME Consortium:  Cindi Maule

          3)  Community Development Partnership: Claudia Williams

          4)  Dates for Affordable housing related meetings, workshops, forums, etc.

       C. Housing Committee Membership

1)Encourage people to apply to Selectmen

2)Importance of Quorum
