Legal Notice

 

The Historic District and Historical Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in the Griffin Room, Town Hall, at 732 Main Street, Harwich, MA to consider the following applications. The public hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a public meeting. Any member of the public having an interest in these applications is invited to attend and provide information and comment relevant to this matter or may submit the same in writing.  

 

HH 2016-08 Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) has been received for Brooks Park at 1 Oak Street, Map 41 Parcel C6 in the R-R, and HC-HD Zones. The application is pursuant to MGL c. 40.C, §6 and the Code of the Town of Harwich c.131 Historic Preservation, Article I.  Specifically, the proposal seeks approval for a new 16’ x 34’ Pavilion through the phased development plan for the Park. Town of Harwich Selectmen, owner, c/o Eric Beebe, Recreation Director, Applicant.

 

HH 2016-09 Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) has been received for 709 Main Street, Map 41, Parcel N3-A in the C-V, H-C and HC-HD Zones. The application is pursuant to MGL c. 40C, §6 and the Code of the Town of Harwich c.131 Historic Preservation, Article I.  The owners, Gregory Y. Winston et al and David J. Plunkett, seek approval for construction of a new two family structure via demolition of the existing structure.

 

HH 2016-10 Notice of Intent (NOI) to Demolish a structures over 100 years old has been received for property located at 82 Doane Road, Map 21, Parcel K3, in the R-L Zone. The application is pursuant to the Code of the Town of Harwich §131-8 and proposes 100% demolition of the c. 1840, 1 ½ story, early Greek Revival style home to allow for new construction. Patricia E.
