Be Aware Of Potential Scam

The Town of Harwich, including the Council on Aging, will NEVER ask you to disclose sensitive information over the phone or email (for example, your Medicare account number, Social Security Number, or financial information).
Even if you have scheduled a SHINE appointment for Medicare counseling, all information will be discussed in person during your appointment. If you ever receive a call from someone who asks you for this type of information over the phone, it may be a SCAM!
Hang up immediately, and call a trusted family member, friend, your bank, or the COA at 508-430-7550 for advice.
