Brooks Free Library Closed Jan. 30th & 31st

Brooks Free Library will be closed on Monday, January 30th and Tuesday, January 31st for electrical work and the installation of a generator to provide reliable power for emergency lighting. Patrons will not be able to pick up holds or check items out at Brooks Free Library on those two days. Programs normally held on Mondays and Tuesdays have been canceled for those two days. Rich Houston’s talk on the “American Revolution and the Civil War in Virginia” has been re-scheduled for Monday February 6 at 6 pm.

The Harwich Recreation Dept. will waive the normal 12 year old age requirement for their after school Open Gym program on January 30th and 31st to accommodate any 5th and 6th graders who normally use the Library. Families are asked to instruct their 10 and 11 year old youngsters to check in at the Recreation Dept. desk when they arrive at the Community Center and to also inform staff members when their parents arrive to pick them up.
