MINUTES

APRIL 13, 2016

I.          Call to Order

            The Chair called the meeting to order at 5:35 PM.

II.        Planning of Board of Selectmen Debate

            Judy Thomas from the League of Women Voters will moderate the debate to be held on   Thursday, April 28 at 1:00 PM in the Griffin hearing room at Town Hall.  All four      candidates will be in attendance.  Ms. Thomas proposed that each member of the         committee submit 2 questions.  Written questions will be taken from the audience but the         questions cannot be specific to 1 candidate.   Flyers will be posted around town and news            of the debate will be on the town’s website.  Members are to forward their questions to             the Chair.

III.       Approval of Minutes of Meetings

            MOTION:  Ms. Rys moved to approve the minutes of January 20, 2016 as written; Ms.    Games seconded; motion carried unanimously.

            MOTION:  Ms. Rys moved to approve the minutes of February 17, 2016 as written; Ms. Milan seconded; motion carried unanimously.

            MOTION:      Ms. Games moved to approve the minutes of March 16, 2016 as written;    Ms. Joyce seconded; motion carried unanimously.

            MOTION:  Ms. Rys moved to approve the minutes of April 12, 2016 as written; Ms.       

            Joyce seconded; motion carried unanimously.

IV.       Citizens Leadership Academy

            Ms. Rys advised that a citizens leadership academy has been established in the Town of             Westborough.

V.        Web Page

            A tutorial for navigating the town’s website in on the Voter Information Committee page             of the website.

VI.       Voter Information Programs

            The committee received good feedback regarding the financial forum.  It was noted that   the panel members came prepared.

            The Chair will contact the candidates for the uncontested races to determine if any of       them would like to tape a short program with the committee.

VII.     Adjourn

            There being no further business, the Chair adjourned the meeting at 7:10 PM.

I.          Call to Order

            The meeting was called to order and the program began at 9:00 AM.  An informative        discussion of the articles in the annual town meeting warrant took place between the       committee members and the representatives from the town departments.

II.        Adjourn

            The taping of the program and the meeting concluded at 10:00 AM.
