Members Present: Matt Hart, Joe Johnson, Dan Casey, Daniel Hall, Tom Themistos, Steve Root, and Fred Clancy

 

Members Absent:   Cam Smith, and Mort Terry, excused by Chair.

 

Others Present:  John Rendon, Harbormaster, Bill Neiser, Harbormaster Dept., James Luce, and Marie Hickey, Board Secretary

 

Minutes:  Motion made by Steve Root to approve the Minutes of 7-15-2015.  Seconded by Tom Themistos.  All in Favor.

 

Consent Agenda:  Nothing this month

 

Open Forum:  Nothing this month

 

Financial Report YTD & Monthly:  Report by Steve Root.  Copy included with Minutes

                                                                           

New Business: 

 

  1. Appeal Request by Charles Koeniger for 2nd private mooring in Wychmere Outer Harbor.

Discussion.  Applicant not present due to family issue.  No action taken.

 

  1. Status of Harbor Demolition & Beautification Fund.

Discussion.  Contributions may be sent to:  Harbor Demolition & Beautification Fund, Care of Harwich Town Hall.

 

  1. Annual nomination and election of WWC Chairman & Vice Chairman.  Motion made by Steve Root to nominate Matt Hart as Chairman.  Seconded by Joe Johnson.  Motion made by Steve Root to nominate Joe Johnson as Vice Chairman.  Seconded by Dan Casey.  Motion made by Tom Themistos to close the nominations.  Voting:  Motions carried unanimously.

 

Old Business:

 

  1. Update on Downey Property.  Discussion covered under Saquatucket Marina Design Bid. Number 4 of Old Business.
  2. Update on Harbor Beautification Fund.  See Number 2 under New Business.

 

  1. Update on Wychmere Town Dock.  Dedication Ceremony in planning stage.

 

  1. Update on Saquatucket Marina Design Bid.  Bids due last Thursday.  Bourne Consulting put in winning Bid.  Discussion:  Five year plan and design. 

 

  1. Discussion:  Mr. Sykes has not paid dock fees at Saquatucket this year or last year.

Adjournment:                        Motion made by Tom Themistos to Adjourn at 7:45 PM.  Seconded by Steve Root.  All voting in Favor.
